AMRI - Business Development Leader

Job Description:1) Generate new business leads for generics in all geographies and close business. Utilize strong interpersonal skills when negotiating contracts and/or bids and building long-term relationships with potential external partners and/or customers.2) This position is based in Hyderabad, India. Support all custom work in India by liaising Business Development staff with technical staff.3) Participate with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives for the generics market.4) Call on prospective accounts, provide technical and administrative product information, coordinate presentations, and support proposal generation. Prepare client-specific presentations and other data to respond to client needs. Global travel in the range of 50-60% of the time.5) Supervise local customer service and inside sales functions.6) Support management in determining service viability to include: Work with internal teams to translate client needs and expectations into reality; develop industry knowledge and maintain awareness of industry trends.7) Function independently to influence the decision-making process of potential clients and develop strategies which anticipate client objections or ambivalence.8) Ensure that sales targets are achieved by maintaining sales networking & client development activities using a local and systematic approach to problem solving, priority setting and decision making.9) Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.10) Provide current and historical records by maintaining records on potential customers and projects.11) Work successfully with peers to achieve company goals within a given territory.12) Perform strategic marketing for generics. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate advertising and trade promotion programs in coordination with corporate communications team.13) Assist the Senior Director, Business Development in identifying market potential by identifying client requirements; defining market, competitors’ share, and competitors’ advantages and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted Company share.14) Maintain professional and technical knowledge; establish personal networks; and participate in relative business professional conferences/societies.15) Participate in self-development activities and training of others.16) Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business
Candidate Profile:1) Should be Masters with 10 to 15 yrs of relevant experience.
