Postdoctoral Fellow in Bioinformatics at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL

Moffitt Cancer Center has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow or higher to join a multidisciplinary team focusing on tyrosine kinase signal transduction pathways in cancer. The major focus of this position will be to use bioinformatics approaches to better our understanding of tyrosine kinase signaling mechanisms in cancer models. This includes phosphoproteomic (mass spectrometry-based, SH2 domain profiling, and western blot) and gene expression microarray data sets. 

Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with experience in computer science, bioinformatics, statistics or related quantitative discipline with a concentration on analytical techniques (e.g. data mining or statistical analysis). Background or experience in biology is preferred. Ability in conducting, evaluating and reporting of research studies is essential as is the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and performance.

Moffitt Cancer Center is a modern facility on the University of South Florida Campus that conducts research on various aspects of Cancer Biology with emphasis on translational research.
