Eligible candidates are invited to attend a WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for the following posts on the ad hoc research project entitled “Nutritive value of Indian Foods”- “Integrated Indian Food Composition Tables” on the following dates mentioned against the posts and category. Depending upon the number of candidates Written Examination/Interview will be conducted. The essential qualification, experience, consolidated salary and service tenure are as under. All candidates should report by 9:30 A.M. sharply on the specified dates of interview for the respective post for scrutiny of certificates and test/ interview.
Position: Lab/Field Manager (4 seats)Qualification: M.Sc.1st Class/ M.Sc. with Ph.D. in Biochemistry/ Life science with three years relevant laboratory experience.Desirable: Conversant with the handling of either of the instruments UPLC/ HPLC/ ICPMS/ LCMS/ AAS/ Dumas nitrogen analyzer/ amino acid analyzer. Minimum one to three years experience.Age: 35 years. Relaxation in case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates as per G.O.I. Rules.Salary: Rs 30,000/-p.m. (Fixed) without any allowancesDate Of Interview: 14-09-2009
Position: Technical Assistant (36 seats)Qualification: B.Sc. with Chemistry and Biology as one of the subject.Desirable: M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Zoology/ Botany/Microbiology/Food science/Food Science & Nutrition with experience in analysis of nutrients in foods. Experience in handling of UPLC/ HPLC/ ICPMS/ LCMS/ AAS/ kjeldahl nitrogen analyzer, microwave ashing system, microwave digestion system, muffle furnace, Satboiling distillation system will be an added advantage. Minimum one to three years experience.Age: 28 years. Relaxation in case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates as per G.O.I. Rules.Salary: Rs. 10,835/-p.m. (Fixed) without any allowances.Date Of Interview: 17-09-2009
Tenure: The Tenure for all the above posts is 4 years. Initially the appointment will be given for a period of one year and extendable based on the performance.
The candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualification (from SSC onwards), experience and caste along with a photo and set of Xerox copies duly attested while attending the Walk-in-Interview. The persons belongs to Other Backward Category should bring the O.B.C. Certificate issued by the respective concerned Thehsildar/ M.R.O.'s specifically issued for the purpose of applying for Central Government post. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interviews.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: The conditions of employment will be the same as are for the project staff on contract basis. The job involves extensive touring all over the country as and when required besides the normal laboratory duties. Only those who are willing and able to travel extensively only need apply. The candidates have no right to claim for any regular employment at this Institute. The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept / reject any application without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
