Research Associate in Protein Crystallography at King’s College London

Applications are invited for the position of to conduct original and high quality research to elucidate mechanisms of IgE in allergy.
The successful candidate will join the Asthma and Allergy Group, in the Randall Division of Cell and Molecular (www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/biohealth/research/randall/). The Randall Division is located in new and well-equipped laboratories in New Hunt’s House on the Guy’s Campus of King’s College . The Asthma and Allergy Group also participate in the Division of Allergy, Asthma and Lung Biology and the MRC & Asthma Centre in Allergic Mechanisms of Asthma.
A PhD in a relevant field and experience of protein crystallisation, X-ray data collection, processing, structure determination and crystallographic refinement are essential.
This post is funded for 2 years from October 2009.
Salary will be offered on grade 6, currently ranging from £32,917 – £35,755 per annum, inclusive of £2,323 allowance per annum, depending on individual skills and experience.
