Postdoctoral position : School of Biological Sciences, University of Hong Kong

School of / The Swire Institute of The University of
A postdoctoral position is available to study larval response to climate change, ocean acidification and emerging new pollutants at biochemical and molecular levels using environmental proteomics and/or bionanotechnology tools in economically important marine invertebrates (e.g. oyster and biofouling species).
Requirements: We are seeking talented, enthusiastic and creative young researchers with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research. Excellent communication skills (in English), both oral and written, are essential. Previous research experience and research publication in larval culture or oyster culture, or proteomics or bionanotechnology fields are advantageous.
Qualifications: The candidate should have a Ph.D degree in or marine chemistry or bionanotechnology. Research experience in calcification mechanisms, ocean acidification effects, and biominerlization is desirable. Expertise in oyster larval biology is highly encouraged to apply.
Salary: Depends on the candidates qualification and is determined by the University and the supervisor. It ranges from HK$ 14000 to 25000 per month (1 US$ = 7.8 HK$). For this salary range, the income tax is negligible in .
