A postdoctoral position in biological network analysis at the TechnionA postdoctoral position is available with Tomer Shlomi in the Department ofComputer Science at the Technion. The focus of the group is the developmentof computational methods for modeling the function of large-scale biologicalnetworks, with a special focus on metabolic networks. Potential researchareas for a position include modeling human tissue-specific metabolism,modeling metabolic alterations due to in-born errors of metabolism andcancer, method development for metabolic network reconstruction, andmetabolic, signaling and regulatory network integration. Research projectswill be closely aligned with the interests of the successful candidates.The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated, will have both astrong background in computer science and background/interest in modelingcomplex biological systems, and will have a strong record of accomplishmentin research.
