Three-Day Workshop on “Bioprocess Technology”14 — 16 September 2009 AtBirla Institute of Scientific Research, Jaipur Birla Institute of Scientific Research, Jaipur is organizing a three-day workshop-cum-training on “Bioprocess Technology” from 14 -16 September 2009. BISR is known for providing a high quality training in advance area of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. The focus of the current workshop is to provide participants with a guided practical training in Bioprocess Technology and will expose participants with various aspects of Bioreactors. It includes some lectures and exhaustive laboratory exposure on different aspects of microbial physiology, biochemistry and bioreactor design. The course is designed in such a way that both undergraduate and post graduate students of different areas of Life Sciences can be benefited. The laboratory includes: · Sterility techniques· Growth kinetics · Optimization of biomass accumulation· Kinetics of substrate utilization and product formation · Bioreactor operation at optimal condition The participants of the course may be students, research scholars, and Faculty member and industry personnel with background in Biotechnology and Biosciences. A certificate of attendance for Professional Development will be given to each participant who completes the course.
