Become a Post Doc Fellow at Novo Nordisk Centre for Protein Research,Copenhagen

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research (CPR) is recently being established at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen, to promote basic and applied discovery research on human proteins of medical relevance (www.cpr.ku.dk). The establishment of the Center has been made possible by a large donation from the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
Qualifications: Candidates are required to have a PhD obtained within recent years in a relevant biological area. Strong motivation and excellent scientific skills are essential.
Desirable: Documented experience with tissue cell culture, gene cloning and general immunological and protein chemistry techniques is also required. Knowledge in cell signaling and confocal microscopy specifically applied to the study of liver would be considered a distinct advantage. Prior experience working with in vivo models is desirable. An analytical aptitude of devising innovative scientific or technical solutions Good communication skills, both oral and written.Employment Conditions: Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Government and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The position will be at the level of post doc, and you will be placed in salary group 6 with the possibility to negotiate a supplement. To the basic salary is added a monthly contribution to a pension fund (17.1% of the salary). The ability to perform the job will be the primary consideration for selecting the candidate, and thus we encourage all – regardless of their personal background and status - to apply.
