Research Associate jobs at Directorate of Rice Research,Hyderabad

Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in-interview on 29.7.2009 between 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. for the following temporary posts to work under the NAIP sponsored project entitled “Development and Maintenance of Rice Knowledge Management Portal (RKMP)” at Directorate of Rice Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.

Name Of Post: Research Associate (1 post) – Domain Expert (Content Aggregation) 

Qualifications


i) Essential: Doctoral / Masters Degree in agriculture / Plant Sciences / Equivalent disciplines from a recognized and repute University with proficiency in computers 


ii) Desirable: Proven ability in publishing, ICT usage, content search and content editing. Should have the ability to comprehend technical data and create content based on the meaningful interpretations. Ability to develop web based content on various platforms. Knowledge on rice related technologies 


iii) Emoluments: Rs.18000/-p.m. for Doctoral / Rs.17000/-p.m. for Masters plus HRA.

Name Of Post: Research Associate(1 post) – ICT Enabled Extension 


Qualifications: 


i)Essential: Doctoral / Masters Degree in agriculture with a specialization in Extension / related discipline from a recognized and repute University with proven abilities for collecting, analyzing and reporting the data with meaningful interpretations. 


ii) Desirable: A creative person with an interest in ICT/KM research and content editing. Should have creative writing skills and excellent attitude for team working. Relevant experience in writing/editing/proof reading for publishing agriculture related content would be added advantage. i


ii) Emoluments: Rs.18000/-p.m. for Doctoral / Rs.17000/-p.m. for Masters plus HRA.

Qualifications: 


i)Essential: Doctoral / Masters Degree in agriculture / plant sciences / equivalent disciplines from a recognized and reputed University with proficiency in computers 


ii)Desirable: Sound inter-disciplinary knowledge of agriculture and allied subjects. Ability to transform research content into extension related materials 


iii)Emoluments: Rs.18000/-p.m. for Doctoral / Rs.17000/-p.m. for Masters plus HRA.

1. Age: (as on 1.7.2009) Below 35 years for men and 40 years for women for SRF and 40 years for men and 45 years for women for RA. Relaxation of age is admissible as per rules for SC/ST/OBC candidates. 
2. The above positions are purely temporary contractual and is to co-terminus with the project. There is no provision of re-employment after termination of the project. Duration of the project is 2½ years. 
3. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview. 
4. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature. 
5. The decision of Project Director, DRR would be final and binding in all aspects.
