Admissions Open For M.Tech in Food Biotechnology at UDCT,Mumbai | Non GATE students can apply

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the admission to DBT supported 2 year (4 Semester) course - M. Tech in Food Biotechnology (10 Seats).

Eligibility: 
Bachelor’s degree of ICT Mumbai,or any other equivalent degree of a recognized university, of four year degree course after HSSC/Std. XII with first class (aggregate of 60% of marks and above or an equivalent grade average) [55% for the backward class candidates only from Maharashtra State] in: 
 
(i)B.Tech., B.Chem.Tech., B.E. in Food Engineering and Technology or Food Engineering or Food Technology Food Science or Food Process Technology or Food Process Engineering or Dairy Technology.
(ii)B.Sc.(Tech.) (Food Technology), of Mumbai University
(iii)B.Tech., B.Chem.Tech., B.E., B.Sc. (Tech.) or equivalent Engineering/ Technology degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering or Pharmaceutical Technology or Oil Technology.
 
NON-GATE candidates may also apply for this year (2009-10) as a special case. The selection will be strictly depending on their performance in Graduation level + written test and interviews by ICT. Please note that only a few vacant seats may be allotted to NON-GATE candidates depending on availability. Such NON-GATE candidates if admitted will not be entitled for the award of DBT fellowship. However, if these candidates qualify GATE examination later, they may be awarded DBT fellowship as per the rules and availability.
 
For DBT Fellowship seats admissions will be done strictly on the basis of collective merit in the valid GATE score, performance at the written test and interviews conducted at ICT.
 
Application forms may be obtained from the accounts section by paying Rs.1000/- (General) and Rs. 500/- (for Reserve Category). The application forms may also be downloaded from the website www.udct.org and submitted along with necessary documents and fees at ICT.
  
Last date for submission of filled application form is Friday, August 7, 2009.

 Written test and interviews will be scheduled on Friday, August 14, 2009.
