Position Title : Product Specialist
Business: Diabetes Care (DC) BD Medical
Reports to : Regional Sales Manager, Business Manager – Diabetes Care
Qualification: Graduate / Post Graduate in Science / Diploma in Nursing
Experience : 3–5 years in Pharmaceutical industry, preferable promoting diabetes products
Position Summary
The position is responsible for strengthening the BD Diabetes Health Care business, by: Creating BD equity with the key influencers (Dr/ Nurses/ Para-medics) – via relationship building (using education of nurses/patients, and other marketing promotions as tools), leading to a prescription of the BD products.
Critical Challenges: Maintain closer working relationships with the Dr/ Healthcare workers in a competitive environment wherein several companies call on these people. To become informed, updated on diabetes/ diabetes care aspects to teach the nurses and patients, and to earn their respect/ credibility.Having a good understanding of the business environment to realize what is impacting business generation in the territory and to plan with the team and the marketing resources to best utilize resources to gain share.
Skill Set
Strong Relation building skills,
Persuasive Communication and Teaching Skills
Good understanding of the ‘Physiology and pharmacology of diabetes’ and/or strong learning agility.
Rational and logical approach to problems and solution provider
Speaking Local Language
Field Sales Experience
