Apply for Post Doctoral Research Assistantship in London

Applications are sought for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join Dr John F Marshall’s team investigating the role of the integrin avb6 in cancer. The successful applicant will investigate the mechanisms underlying the tumour–promoting effects of avb6 in cancer (Nystrom et al, 2006, Cancer Research 66: 10833-42).

The questions under investigation will require the use of a variety of cell, biochemical and molecular biology techniques, cell-based functional assays, confocal/time-lapse microscopy and the use of in vivo models. The post-holder will be encouraged to contribute ideas and expertise to other studies going on within the group and Centre. The research will be based in the Centre for Tumour Biology at Charterhouse Square.

Essential requirements for this post include a PhD in a relevant subject and previous experience in cell and molecular biology.
