Title: Bioinformatics Fellowship Post 
Based at: Addlestone, Surrey 
The VLA is an international centre of expertise in animal health science, and provides a broad range of specialist veterinary services and products to Governments and commercial customers across the world. As a Bioinformaticist you will build upon the already mature genomics work undertaken within the VLA.
You will provide bioinformatic leadership in several projects, working with the Bioinformatics and Statistics team to develop web applications for easy access by VLA staff in order to present an integrated suite of bioinformatic tools, genome browsing, functional proling, genome annotation and other minor tools. There will be significant interaction with the Health Protection Agency and the university sector. You will have a degree with a post-graduate qualification in an aspect of bioinformatics or a closely related quantitative subject. 

This is a three year Fixed Term Appointment with the possibility of extension or permanency in Pay Band C £33,000 - £48,075 per annum.
