“Identification, organization and function of S/MAR elements in gastrointestinal protozoa”
Essential Qualification
M.Sc. in any branch of Biology with strong molecular biology knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in cell culture, genomics and biochemical techniques is required. Knowledge in bioinformatics will be given preference.
Job Description
The research fellow is expected to identify specific DNA sequences (S/MARs elements) from the protozoan parasites by bioinformatics and test for their regulatory activity in the genome using molecular and biochemical techniques.
Emoluments will be as per DBT norm.
Engagement is for the project and on behalf of the funding agency and the tenure shall be co-terminus with the duration of the project. Contract may be terminated any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any DBT or Anna University post.
