We seek post- and predoctoral fellows with strong interest in molecular systems biology and a background in molecular genetics and/or biochemistry to join our team at the Gene Center in Munich. Our lab studies the regulation of gene expression in Drosophila at a systems level, using a combination of molecular genetic, biochemical and computational approaches. Our current research is focused on understanding the transcriptional and posttranscriptional mechanisms responsible for generating highly defined spatio-temporal patterns of gene expression, with particular emphasis on complex developmental paradigms, where multiple extrinsic and intrinsic signals are integrated to produce a finely tuned output.
Position: Postdoc and PhD positions in Molecular Systems BiologyQualification: Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Bioengineering or related fields, with substantial experimental experience in molecular biology and biochemistry. Desirable: Experience with model organism genetics and/or bioinformatics a plus. Must have excellent technical skills, an enthusiasm for using and developing new techniques, and the interpersonal skills to work within a diverse team of scientists.
The salary is according to the TV-L and depends on your qualification. Positions are available from September 1, 2009; interviewing will begin immediately until positions are filled.
