5 SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS REQUIRED UNRESERVED UNDER THE ICAR AND DBT-FUNDED PROJECTS
PROJECTS: (i) ICAR-NAIP Project on "Bioprospecting and allele mining for abiotic strees tolerance" (3 SRF Posts); (ii) DBT Network Project on "Developing micronirtrient-enriched maize through molecular breeding" (1 SRF Post); (iii) ICAR Network Project on Transgenics in Crop Plants (Sub-project: Maize functional genomics) (1 SRF Post).
PAY SCALE: Rs. 12000/- +30% HRA.
AGE: Not more than 35 years (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates as per ICAR Rules).
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc / M.Tech. in Genetics / Plant Breeding / Biotechnology / Life Sciences with specialisation in Genetics / Plant Breeding/Biotechnology.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Project (i): Research experience in genomics, molecular markers, abiotic stress phenotyping and knowledge of bioinformatics. Project (ii): Research experience in molecular markers, micronutrient analysis, and knowledge of computer applications. Project (iii): Research experience in genomics, molecular markers and knowledge of bioinformatics.
The above posts are purely temporary and initially for a period of one year, but may be further extended based on candidate's performance. The candidate will not have any right for absorption in ICAR in any capacity. The interview will be held on 24 August 2009 at 9.30 a.m. in Head's Chamber, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi-110 012; Tel No.: 011-25841285. The candidates have to bring without fail a copy of Biodata, original certificates (including Degree completion certificate), attested photocopies of each of the certificates, and a recent passport-sized photograph. No TA/DA would be given for appearance in interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
