BioInformatics Application Specialist

Covering Australia and New Zealand this is a new role to meet the
growing demand for our next generation sequencing platform.
We seek a strong communicator and team player to help build our
reputation in the market. You will be involved in the analysis of
experimental results and the development of analytical tools for our
customers while facilitating publications. You will be considered a
technical expert, trainer, and data analyst.
You will have a postgraduate degree in the life sciences. Applicants
that hold a PhD are preferred. You must possess an excellent
understanding of genomics databases and their annotations (GenBank,
RefSeq, ENSEMBL, dbSNP) and proven experience with sequence analysis
tools such as Blast, SW, Primer3, GAP4.
Ideally we seek applicants with 3-4 years of experience acquired
through computational biology, molecular biology, genetics,
statistics, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
You will have close involvement with your customers within Australasia
and travel to meet their needs.
