Job Description:
1) Primary responsibility to meet and exceed the aggressive annual sales targets for the Molecular Diagnostics Services in India.
2) Should have to mine his/her (and Ocimum’s) existing contacts (Account/Relationship Management) while building new ones (Client Management and Communication/Presentation Skills) in the hospitals, diagnostic labs, research labs, and related institutes.
3) To attract new clients and deepen relationship with existing clients, the candidate will have to plan, organize and execute sales events (Sales and Marketing Skills).
4) Should have the ability to close promising sales opportunities in a way which derives maximum value possible for Ocimum (Negotiation Skills).
5) Should follow up with the customer to ensure prompt payment. (Invoice, Collections and Receivables Management).
Candidate Profile:
1) At least Bachelors level education in Life Sciences with Overall Sales/Business Development experience of at least four years and a Minimum of two years of experience in the life sciences industries selling molecular diagnostic services
2) Should have high level technical knowledge of Molecular Diagnostics services protocols –PCR, RT-PCR, Sequencing, FISH, etc
3) Must have met and exceeded annual multi-million sales targets
4) Should have Deep contacts in the life sciences fields with doctors and key decision makers in the hospitals, diagnostic labs, research labs, and related institutes
5) Should have Exceptional client management skills
6) Good negotiation skills
7) Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
8) Extensive travel required – expected to be on the road at least 3 (three) days a week
