POSITION AVAILABLE

Applications are invited for the following purely temporary posts in
the DBT funded project “M.Tech in Computational Biology &
Bioinformatics” (Formerly One year Diploma in Bioinformatics) under
CoE, Centre for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics (CCBB) at
School of Information Technology, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Assistant Professor: (Two posts)
Essential Qualifications: Good academic record and Master’s degree
/BE/B.Tech/MCA in Statistics, Mathematics / Computer Science with at
least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST candidates) AND Ph.D degree in
Bioinformatics / Computer Science / Physics / Chemistry / Bio-Physics
/ Statistics / Mathematics applied in the field of Genomics,
Proteomics or related subject.

Consolidated (equivalent UGC revised pay) remuneration will be fixed
as per the qualification & experience of the selected candidate.

These positions are completely temporary and co-terminus with the
project. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year but
may be extended based on performance. CCBB, JNU may select candidates
against the post depending upon qualification and experience of
candidates and reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications
in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the
Selection Committee.
