About University
Jeppiaar Educational trust was founded in the year 1987 to promote technical education in the state of Tamil Nadu. It was this idea which led to the establishment of Sathyabama Engineering College. Since inception this institute has been synonymous with academic excellence, and student discipline. This has been made possible by close supervision, excellent coaching and honing of talents among bright students who are expected to notch the university’s top honors, besides taking care of the academically backward students of the university. The Institute is accredited with and has ISO 9001-2000 certification.
About the Department
Department of Bioinformatics was established in the year 2001 with an objective to transform the students into innovative, competent and high quality professionals to meet the growing global changes. The department has taken an initiative in manpower development in biinformatics and started B.Tech and M.Tech programs with cutting edge technologies and state of the art facilities. The department has so far conducted numerous seminars in last 9 years and has been providing computational facilities, babliographic searches and bioinformatics related services to the students.
About the Symposium
Our symposium mainly enlightens on the field of Bioinformatics which is an application of computer technology to the management of biological information.
A group of eminent speakers have been invited to share their expertise in their respective branches of bioinformatics and multidinous feild that constitute it.
Competitive events are also being held and prizes will be awarded.
This envisions taking the spirit of competition, kinship and research ability within the students to a whole new level
It aims for a renaissance of scientific break through in the field of research and innovation.
