Short Course on Advances in Molecular Diagnosis of Important Bacterial Diseases of Animals from Sep 15-24,2009.
THE INSTITUTION:
The Indian Vetennary Research Institute (IVRI) is one of the premier national institutes functioning under the administrative control of Indian Council of Agricultural Research.It was founded in 1889 and conferred Deemed University status by University Grants Commtssio n in 1983.
OBJECTIVES:
The main purpose of this short term training course is to update researchers/ teachers/disease investigating officers in their knowledge on the latest advances in molecular diagnosis of important bacterial diseases of animals.This training course also plans to provide practical experience which will help to enhance the skills of the participants with regard to applying their knowledge in molecular biology to diagnose important bactenal diseases This training course would further provide a common platform for all the participants to interact and exchange ideas among themselves which will lay the foundation for inter-institutional co-operative research projects in future.
ELIGIBILITY
Equivalent or above the rank of Scientist / Assistant Professor holding Master's (M Sc /M VSc ) or Doctoral Degree in Microbiology Bacteriology. Immunology, Public Health. Epidemiology Biotechnology and allied subjects under ICAR Institutes/State Agricultural Universities.

TRAVEL:
Bareilly city which is equidistant from New Delhi and Lucknow is well connected to major cities of India by rail and road The railway and bus station of the city are approximately 8 and 5 km respectively from the institute.The selected participants are advised to make their return journey reservation well in advance to avoid any inconvenience.Participants will be paid travel fare to and fro for journey by first class or AC -11 class tram fair as per their entitlement only Actual TA will be paid normally on production of certificate by participants.
BOARDING AND LODGING:
The Lal Bahadur Shastri International Guest House (IGH) within the institute would provide accommodation to all the invited participants.A fully functional Mess Hall within the International Guest House would be providing wholesome meals and refreshments to all the participants as per the ICAR approved norms. The weather at Bareilly in the month of September is expected to be pleasant and all the participants can expect a warm and cosy stay in the campus.

In case of last minute cancellation by selected candidates due to some unavoidable circumstances the organizers may kindly be intimated by email / fax or phone by 5*" September 2009 so that participants in waiting may be accommodated
